Ambientization begins when distributed meaning and symbolic regulation are no longer sufficient to carry rising pressure. At that point, technology must shift from managing meaning as content to carrying meaning as environment.

Definition
The Ambientization Law defines a structural transition in how meaning is carried under increasing symbolic pressure. It is not a stylistic preference or a product category. It is a thermodynamic consequence of overload.
Distributed meaning spreads pressure across many containers. Regulated meaning compresses that pressure through coherence, routing, and reduction of symbolic burden. But when regulation itself becomes load-bearing, a dissipation layer is required. Only after pressure is absorbed can meaning become environmental.
Ambientization therefore does not eliminate distribution or regulation. It lowers their continuous cost by relocating the carrying burden from active symbolic handling into stable environmental conditions.
Four phases
In the internet phase, meaning is distributed across pages, feeds, files, links, and platforms. Pressure is managed by spreading meaning outward into many visible containers.
In the AI phase, meaning is regulated. Compression, summarization, routing, and coherence reduce symbolic overload and make meaning easier to carry. AI is therefore not the final state. It is the regulatory phase that makes ambient carrying possible.
The transition from AI to ambient is not direct. A dissipation layer is required to absorb remaining pressure before it becomes irreversible. In the Raynor Stack, this layer is warmth.
In the ambient phase, meaning is no longer primarily handled as content at all. It is carried by the environment through state, placement, continuity, and local retention.
Implication
Ambient systems are not simply calmer interfaces. They are systems in which the burden of holding meaning shifts away from explicit symbolic handling and into environmental carrying.
Ambient systems do not remove complexity. They relocate its thermodynamic cost from continuous interaction to environmental stability.
